Leah Bowden

Leah Bowden is a senior at Mississippi State and is from Cullman, Alabama. Leah has danced since she was 3 years old and is trained in classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. She also danced on her high school’s competitive dance team and taught several different styles while in high school. Leah loves teaching and is grateful for Boardtown for giving her a place to teach while at school.

Jocelyn ortega

Jocelyn is a passionate dance instructor with 19 years of dance experience and 7 years of teaching expertise. She has participated in competitive dance and choreography for competitive routines for numerous years. Driven by her love for dance, Jocelyn strives to ignite the spark of dance in children, helping them discover their own passion! Her favorite dance styles are Jazz and Contemporary. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Mississippi State University. In the future she hopes to one day open a studio of her own.

lauryn tubbs

Lauryn is from Tupelo, Mississippi. Currently, she is a senior at Mississippi State University studying Psychology and plans to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. She danced with Art in Motion Competitive Dance Studio in Nettleton, Mississippi. Before starting competitive dance, she was a member of Tupelo Middle School’s showchoir, “Splash,” and Tupelo High School’s competitive showchoir, “Synergy.” Lauryn also has experience in majorette style dance. Her favorite thing about Boardtown Dance is connecting to the students and watching them improve year after year. Lauryn is excited to be joining Boardtown Dance for another season!
